Recently, information was received that Reliance Jio has banned websites of all types of adult content on its network. After which, it is now being said that in this order, other telecom operators such as Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, BSNL, and other Internet Service Providers (ISP) etc. have also ban porn sites.

In fact, last week, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) had asked all internet service providers across the country to block 827 websites related to pornography content. After that, Jio blocked these sites on their network, which was also shared by the users on Twitter and Reddit etc.

Let me tell you that in the last week already, the order for the Department of Telecom was issued by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) On the Order of Uttrakhand High Court. According to which “All internet service license owners are ordered to blocked these 827 websites as soon as possible.

Actually, the Uttarakhand High Court had earlier said that 857 websites will be banned, in which Adults content was given. However, after being examined by MeitY, it was found that in 30 of these sites did not find any adult content of any kind, after which the government decided to apply the banned on only 827 websites.

After this, Porn Hub, the world’s largest porn site, has changed its domain name, whose official information has shared on Twitter. After that Corey Price, the Vice-president of Porn Hub, says that there is no law in India to watch pornography or any other adult content in private. According to him, a large number of adult content is seen and it is not good to do so.

However, we have to see how successful the government can do in this endeavor, because before this, even before 2105, the government had banned pornography sites. But it did not have any special effect because users were able to easily access sites from VPN and other ISPs.
