Samsung X5 portable SSD device – South Korean company Samsung is just getting a different position in not only in Korea but in the world. In India, Samsung is always one of the most preferred companies. As a result, the company has now launched a new product for the Indian market. The company started its Ultra-Fast X5 NVMe SSD in Indian markets in the last week of August. Now, the company has launched the Thunderbolt 3-supported storage device for the Indian market.

Keeping in mind the portable storage solution of IT professionals and content creators, the company has built this product which is looking for fast data transfer. X5 SSD has been launched in three different storage variants for Indian people and its price has started from Rs. 27,999.

X5 SSD has been designed in such a manner that it will be useful for transferring large multimedia ultra-fast transfers and data files. The Samsung X5 SSD will only work with devices that have Thunderbolt 3 port. The SSD X5 provides 40 GB / second bandwidth and the company claims that it is four times faster than the USB 3.1 x5 ssd

20 GB files can transfer in 12 seconds

Users can transfer about 20 GB files in 12 seconds, which can be quite effective. It is also claimed that the Samsung SSD X5 is 400 percent faster than the traditional USB 3.1 standard, and there is more than 25 percent faster than HDD and the SATA interface is five times faster than the portable SSD. As far as connectivity is concerned, the X5 SSD can connect with devices running Windows 10 (64-bit with RS2 or above) and MacOS Sierra (10.12) or higher.


Samsung’s latest storage device includes the AES 256-bit hardware encryption with options like password security at the top of the company with its portable SSD software. To design X5 SSD, Samsung has used a strong metal cover which makes the device even stronger. In addition, SSD also has a heat sink that works with dynamic thermal guard technology and will ensure that the storage device does not get too hot, so that there is no interruption in your performance and you can work smoothly.

Price of different variants of SSD

The  500 GB SSD variants have been priced at Rs. 27,999, the cost of 1TB variants is Rs. 48,999 and the value of 2TB variants is Rs. 97,999. Samsung is also offering X5 SSD with the limited warranty of three years.
